Plateau residents came together on Saturday to celebrate Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang’s one-year anniversary in office with a walk. The event also coincided with the 60th anniversary of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
Dubbed “The Land is Green Walk,” the event commenced from Old Airport Roundabout with Governor Mutfwang, Secretary to the Government of the State, Arc. Samuel Jatau, Chief of Staff, Government House, Jos, Engr. Jeremiah Satmark and other dignitaries in attendance. The walk aimed to foster a healthy and productive society.
Addressing the crowd, Governor Mutfwang expressed gratitude for the community’s support and emphasized the importance of unity and prosperity for Plateau.
The Governor also marked the occasion by teeing off a Golf tournament. He highlighted the ability of Golf to unite people from diverse backgrounds and promote good health.
Senator Simon Lalong presented a plaque to Governor Mutwang on behalf of other golfers and congratulated him for attaining one year in office, acknowledging his leadership and wishing him continued success.
Captain of Lamingo Golf Club, Jos, Mr. Silas Vem, praised the Governor’s initiatives and welcomed him as a member of the Golf Club.
