PLATEAU STATE GOVERNOR SEEKS PRAYER SUPPORT FROM PASTOR ADEBOYE AND COCIN LEADERSHIP FOR THE PEACE AND PROSPERITY OF THE STATE

Plateau State Governor, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has solicited the prayers of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and the leadership of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) for lasting peace, unity, and prosperity in Plateau and Nigeria.

During separate courtesy visits at the New Government House in Little Rayfield, Jos, Governor Mutfwang thanked Pastor Adeboye for his prayers and fatherly role during his legal challenges, which saw to the triumph of righteousness over darkness.

The Governor said he was greatly honored to host Pastor Adeboye who was in Jos to reopen the Redeemed Christian Church Camp in Heipang which was closed due to security concerns.

Governor Mutfwang said the reopening of the camp is a clear indication that Plateau State is safe for investments.
“We are highly honoured to receive you in Plateau State today, on behalf of the government and people of Plateau State. We are glad that you have come back not only to speak to your Ministers but to pray for the state”, He said.

Pastor Adeboye, recalling his love for Plateau since 1965, pledged continued prayers for the state’s peace, unity, and prosperity.

Addressing the COCIN delegation led by Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo, Governor Mutfwang renewd his commitment to governance that glorifies God and benefits humanity.

He stated: “I came into politics because I believe that the Church can send somebody to provide good governance that  would glorify the name of Jesus Christ. I have therefore made a vow that as we lead in government, we will do so in a manner that the Church will be proud that it stood behind us”.

He welcomed constructive counsel from the Church and called for continued prayers and support.

The COCIN President, Rev. Dr. Mohzo commended the Governor’s efforts in various sectors, including clearing of  salary and pension arrears, resettling Internally Displaced Persons, and infrastructure development.

Special prayers were offered for peace, unity, and prosperity in Plateau State.
